How to get to the Ortnerhof in Austria by car, train and more
At home on the mountain
Your retreat in the middle of the Hohe Nationalpark Hohe Tauern region in East Tyrol. A stone’s throw away

- 12 km to the Großglockner Resort hiking and skiing area
- 38 km to the city centre of Lienz
- 36 km to the Defereggental Golf Park and 44 km to the Dolomitengolf Osttirol golf club
With the guest card you can travel free of charge on public transport throughout East Tyrol during your mountain holiday. The bus stop is just a 1 minute walk from the Hotel Ortnerhof.
From the south via Lienz
Travel by train to Lienz train station and then take the bus to Prägraten / Bobojach.
From the north via Wörgl and Kitzbühel
Travel by train to Kitzbühel train station and continue with the regional bus 950X to Matrei in East Tyrol and then with the bus 951 to Prägraten / Bobojach.
From the north (Germany, Netherlands …) toll-free to Kufstein Süd to Kitzbühel and Pass Thurn further along the Felbertauernstrasse to Matrei in East Tyrol. From there, turn off into Virgental valley and follow the state road for about 12 km towards Prägraten am Großvenediger. Around 600 m after the short tunnel and your destination is on the left side. The entrance to the free car park is directly accessible from the main road.
Coming from the south via Lienz and the Felbertauernstraße to Matrei in East Tyrol and further into the Virgental valley as described above.
