Sustainability has long been part of our programme as mountain farmers at the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park region. We live and work with a sense of respect for nature and the preservation of our valuable resources. In harmony with nature and strengthened by our regional identity, our hotel is a place full of emotional connections and appreciation. Here you will experience originality, tradition and an authentic Tyrolean way of life.
We have been living the “Tyrolean hospitality” at the Ortnerhof since 1946 and offer our guests farm holidays and a variety of happy moments in a breathtaking natural setting. We are proud to always welcome regular guests who enjoyed their summer holiday with us as children and now want to show their own children the beauty of the Virgental valley.
We have lovingly expanded, renovated and modernised our traditional family home over the years. As a trained chef, it was clear to Hans that culinary enjoyment was an essential part of a perfect mountain holiday, and so the restaurant was added in 2007.
In 2014, our horses moved into a new stable right next to the riding arena and in the middle of our meadows and paddocks. The now empty stable building was replaced by a modern alpine apartment building in 2020 offering 6 exclusive apartments – our Stadl Apartments.
The future definitely has exciting developments in store for us. We look forward to experiencing it together with you and our guests.
